(Laing O’Rourke Ltd) Kinross High School :: Case Studies

Project Completion Date: 1st July 2009

The works involved approx. 39000m3 of bulk earthworks, substructure works for a 10400m2 building including foundations, a large subterranean reinforced concrete biomass plant room, a 8 metre deep sewage pumping station, external and internal drainage (including the installation of a 13No infiltration cell soakaways), 11700m2 of road and parking surfacing/paving/kerbing, brick and blockwork walls, external services (trenching, ducting and connections), street lighting and traffic management.

In addition to this our proposed sub-contractor, Edwards Engineering, carried out the steelworks for this project.

This is one of three Perth & Kinross Schools which we are currently working on, having also just completed Dunning Primary School. We are also working on another three in Dundee/Angus having completed another three in Dundee and one in Edinburgh earlier this year. All involving similar types of works to Kinross High School and all were completed on time or are on schedule and within budget.
