A Safe Environment
Health and safety is at the heart of all Kilmac operations. We demand the highest safety and environmental standards from our employees and our supply chain. This is achieved through the comprehensive HSE Managements System and continual improvement of our working practices. Our management systems are externally accredited by the UKAS accredited certification body NQA.
Kilmac strives to achieve the full legal compliance and to follow the best industry practices by investing in training to develop highly skilled and fully engaged workforce. The regular consultations with our employees are delivered through the Safety Committee meetings and employee surveys. The company employs an HSQE Manager and external safety adviser Ubique Safety to continually assess current safety performances by conducting regular safety inspections and to review and improve safety procedures. Kilmac is very proud of its outstanding safety record.
Training & Qualifications
We use a wide range of well established training companies to carry out all the training requirements for our site staff and to ensure everyone has the specific certification necessary for their role. We strive to achieve 100% of our workforce to be certified to CPCS and CSCS standards within the first month.
Additionally, our entire workforce is trained in manual handling, circular saw and vehicle marshalling. All employees undergo Toolbox Talks at least once a week, and our Site Supervisors are First Aid trained and SSSTS certified. All our Site Managers are SMSTS certified. Additionally, many of our operatives have certifications in many other specialist areas.
Policies & Reports
The HSQE Manager and the Construction Director review all audits, safety committee reports and site incident records quarterly to review company policy and update statistics.
